I now have a house full of boys!
Nathaniel (Nathan) James Pickering has joined our family. He was born on November 1st at 6:49 am. He was 7 lbs 13 oz and 20 in long. He is perfect in every way.
Big brother Stephen loves his brother, loves to hold and kiss him, and is adjusting to how life is. He is currently sick, so he isn't in the greatest of moods unfortunately.
Terry is adjusting to the lack of sleep (which I thought would be no big deal for him seeing as he says he never sleeps anyway).
Our house is a disaster, but I plan to start working on that once my pain subsides some more. Sleep isn't bad. Nathan had me up at 12 midnight, 3 am and 6 am last night. Stephen had Terry up a few times too. We are currently fighting the fear of the dark with Stephen.
We had our first appointment today at the pediatrician for Nathan. He has lost 10 oz since birth, but he should start gaining now that my milk has come in. I am going to try to exclusively breastfeed, since I was only able to do it for 1.5 months with Stephen, I am hoping it goes better with Nathan.
Hopefully tonight goes well. Terry is going back to work on Monday night, so it will be interesting for me to have to deal with both boys. I am also going to try to update my blog on a daily basis, although with an infant and toddler, nothing is a guarantee.
Great job Mom! You will be wonderful because you are you. I only raise wonderful daughters! LOL. I think a blog is a good idea to help document your journey. Do it when you can and enjoy it when you do it! Love you always, Mom
